POUNDING YAM (Haiku 002)


Traditional African family pounding yam in a mortar; with pestle. Boy and girl pounding yam in a mortar with pestle. Sister and brother pounding yam traditionally with mortar and pestle.

With me, the pestle:
Thud! Bam! Bang! Thump! Thump! Squeak! Squeak!
Blisters on my palm.
